David Baumwoll has extensive experience handling complex litigation in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Product and General liability, Criminal Prosecution, Commercial Litigation, and Telemarketing Law. During his time as a prosecutor, Mr. Baumwoll handled cases from inception to trial and conducted investigations into human trafficking, gun trafficking, and police officer misconduct. As a civil litigator, Mr. Baumwoll has successfully negotiated dozens of favorable settlements on behalf of his clients, represented them in court, and fought zealously for them at each stage of litigation.  
 
A former elementary school teacher, Mr. Baumwoll joined the Bronx DA’s Office's Criminal Enterprise Bureau after law school. Mr. Baumwoll then served as Associate Counsel in the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) where he drafted data privacy agreements and shaped criminal justice policy in New York City. Prior to joining Strauss Law Offices, Mr. Baumwoll served as Senior Associate Counsel at the law firm of Klein Moynihan Turco and as an Associate Attorney with the law firms of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani and Martin Clearwater & Bell.

Mr. Baumwoll has served as the Executive Director and Co-Board President of the Student Movement Against Cancer (SMAC), Inc., a national non-profit dedicated to empowering students to be the next generation of cancer fighters. Mr. Baumwoll also co-founded and launched a political technology company called Rep’d, designed to connect voter questions with candidate video answers.
